Do the mattresses on Tuft & Needle's website require a Prop 65 label?
After extensive third-party laboratory testing for the presence of California-identified chemicals, we have determined that none of the mattresses sold on our website require a California Proposition 65 warning label. These mattresses are certified by CertiPUR-US® and GREENGUARD GOLD, meaning that our mattresses comply with the stringent safety requirements of those standards.

California’s Proposition 65 became law in 1986; its official name is the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act.
Proposition 65 requires businesses that offer products for sale in California to provide warnings to all prospective purchasers about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. By requiring that this information be provided, Proposition 65 is intended to assist consumers with their purchasing decisions by providing certain information about the substances contained within a given product.
Prop 65 requires the State of California to publish a list of chemicals known to cause cancer or reproductive harm. The complete list of 900+ chemicals can be viewed
